Barack's Chickens Are Coming Home to Roost

This election was headed for a guaranteed case of buyers remorse regardless of the winner.

For so many McCain supporters, had he won, the remorse would have kicked in immediately. Oh, there would have been a great relief that we had protected the White House from a text book socialist for at least four years. And there would have been gloating over the MSM and the agenda'd pollsters getting their comuppance. But very soon the reality that a President McCain reaching across the aisle to Speaker Pelosi and Leader Reid is no picnic would set in. The McCain celebration would have been short lived and tepid. Then the hard duty of trying to keep him in line would have begun.

It would have been hard work to keep him from messing things up so badly as to guarantee a Democrat win in 2012, but that was the grim task many conservatives had resigned themselves to actually hoping for.

On the other hand, the Obama celebration is and will of course be vibrant and wild and enthusiastic. The clueless (and soon to be unemployed) Obots will have a big time frat party. It will stay this way for a while, aided by the MSM suddenly commenting on how bright the sun is and how clear the sky is and how sweet the chriping of the birds is. They will bask in the glow of how happy all of America's enemies are without understanding the implications. They will take pride that lilly white Europe does not think us racists anymore. There will be a massive celebration of the historicness of this election.

For all we know, Jeremiah Wright will quit "god-damning" the place and Michelle Obama might even have some pride in her country. Chris Matthew's leg tingle might have, well, consumated.

Then some realities will start to hit home. Some of the white Obots will start to notice that the black Obots are especially happy - in a way that only they can understand. There will be something kind of clanish about some of the happiness over the Obama win. It will be hard to describe, but the guilty white liberal, needed so badly at the voting booth, will not be welcome into part of this celebratory intensity. It will begin to dawn on folks that perhaps the Obama candidacy was not this great post-racial cleansing afterall. Why, some of these Obots seem to think this thing was ALL about race and nothing else.

Other Obots, those who actually thought that this was about bringing us together, will start to notice something else. They will notice that for a candidate of change and of the so called "purple states," Obama sure has a lot of supporters that viscerally HATE all conservatives and Republicans. There will be a palpable glee that business owners and investors will have their wealth taken and spread around. It won't matter that the wealth will not do any good, it will be enough that "the man" is punished.

Before long small businesses --owned by folks with a very keen eye for what cars in the employee parking lot have O stickers -- will begin their lay-offs. Many are already relishing the opportunity. Several emails to this effect have been flying around the internet for weeks and similar discussions were already noticeable last night at various GOP gatherings. Obots will start receiving their pink slips. Jobs, that famous three letter word, will begin to disappear. It's just a wild guess, but I am thinking the Obots will be the first to go.

And of course, about this time other Obots will realize that in fact there is no one paying their mortgage or rent or fuel bills. I mean, if Obama's aunt and half brother are still waiting for the hand-out, what should they expect? As we know now from video circulating around the web there are those who actually think life will now be handed to them on a silver platter. This of course cannot happen, and they will figure this out at some point. And when they do, resentment will build in.

The stock market -- which will perhaps have a short lived post election bump simply because markets love certainty over uncertainty - will start to plummet as the reality of what this certainty is hits home. Investment counselors have alreadybeen quoted on the financial channels as positioning themselves to wait for the short post election run up before selling hard. At that point, they do not plan to re-enter the equity markets until Republicans take back the congress in 2010. There are actually billions in assets poised for this specific strategy. The argument is that over 50% of the population will actually be foolish enough to think Obama will be good for the economy, and this 50% will spend like drunken sailors for a short while - until reality sets in. Then the economy will really tank.

As an aside, look for oil to go up again as the election results will signal a nation not serious about using its own massive energy stores.

Meanwhile, there will still be U.S soldiers in Iraq and there will still be countries and dictators who hate us. For the idealistic Obot, electing the messiah was of course supposed to change all of this almost instantly. Imagine their shock when the man whose mentor hates this country is not able to make the rest of the world love us instantly.

And on and on the disappointments will come for the Obots. Afterall, they put their faith in a façade of a man with plans that are absolutely unworkable. They will start to learn the hard lessons that all money starts with the successful consumation of a capitalist exercise, intelligent people will not work hard simply to have their wealth confiscated, the world is governed by the aggressive use of force and real evil exist.

And on this purchase, no refund is available until 2012.
