Why did McCain lose? Why did Republicans lose? The answers are here. They have been here for months actually. Clearly, it is time to rebuild the Republican Party. Or it will die. C. Edmund Wright, oft published on American Thinker and quoted by Rush, takes a hard but humorous look at how the Beltway culture is ruining the GOP. Inside the beltway, big government liberals outnumber conservatives about 9 to 1. Does it make sense to keep our headquarters in such an environment? Of course not -- and with technology -- there is no need to. Move the RNC to boost the Republican brand -- to get back in touch with America.

The first big battle of the Obama Administration will take place before he is even inaugurated -- this week in fact in congress. The union thugs of the UAW are demanding a bail out of the Big Three Auto Makers. This is really simply a bail out of the United Auto Workers' union (UAW).

Epic battle. Bill Clinton over reached early in his term with an attempt to socialize medicine (officially) with the so-called "Hillary Care" plan early 1993.. This was one of the major impetuses for Republicans taking congress in historic fashion in 1994. If the Dem's try and get us all to bail out "big auto union," this could be the first shot in the mid term elections of 2010.

C. This is going to be a biggie. It involves a ton of money, a lot of emotion -- but more importantly -- will be a big template setting dynamic going forward. If the Big 3 Auto makers are bailed out in the manner that many liberals and unions want, it will be simply a huge financial band-aid on a failed union system and likely force a bunch of nonsensical green initiatives on the future fleets of the Big 3 auto makers. It will be a disaster.

On the flip side, if a structured bankruptcy allows the Big 3 to re-organize and to get out of unsustainable union contracts, then it will be a blessing.
