Mega Issue Now: The Union Bail Out

This is going to be a biggie. It involves a ton of money, a lot of emotion -- but more importantly -- will be a big template setting dynamic going forward. If the Big 3 Auto makers are bailed out in the manner that many liberals and unions want, it will be simply a huge financial band-aid on a failed union system and likely force a bunch of nonsensical green initiatives on the future fleets of the Big 3 auto makers. It will be a disaster.

On the flip side, if a structured bankruptcy allows the Big 3 to re-organize and to get out of unsustainable union contracts, then it will be a blessing. Interesting discussion on this issue in this video. Some interesting perspectives from some foreign auto dealers. Link to CNBC video.

AND SPEAKING OF UN-SUSTAINABLE UNIONS: See this article on TEACHERS UNIONS IN DC.
