John McCain is playing with political and economic dynamite. This is not comforting, since he has shown significant economic ignorance over the years. In addition, his political instincts are when in doubt, become a liberal.
Then again, he might be playing another secret game brilliantly. Rumors this morning that there has never been an agreement, according to Paul Ryan, R, Wisconsin. Could McCain be playing a ride to the rescue game with House Republicans? That's wishful thinking.
But hey, the only things at stake are the American economy and if it crashes, the truth about who and what crashed it. -- MORE AS THIS UNFOLDS
