All the buzz about Joe Biden joining Barack Obama on the Democrat ticket is not convincing. Republicans would love to see Obama pick Biden, who may be the only man on the planet with ego's comparable to that of Obama (and McCain for that matter.) His explosive temper, incredible sense of self importance and shameful history in 1984 with plagerism make him the VEEP pick the GOP would love to see. He would also be another pretty hard leftist domestically on the Democrat ticket.
I still say it will be Virginia Governor Tim Kaine, for a number of reasons. It will be funny to watch Kaine try and square his economic plans with that of Obama, especially in light of the text book communist politics of Obama's father and the son's desire to please the old man that has surfaced this week...but he could put Virginia in play and give those who want to remain blind a sense of security.
And for McCain? I think the Lieberman trial balloon is another fake left, go right deal. At least, I hope so. No prediction yet, except that I do not think it will be the Connecticut liberal. Some in the McCain campaign dearly want this...but it won't happen.
